Epic Ireland
Since it was opened by the former Irish President, Mary Robinson in May 2016, Epic Ireland, the permanent exhibition charting the history of the Irish Diaspora, has received nothing but praise. Elbow is proud to have produced the majority of large-scale audio visuals for what is billed as 'the first ever digital-only museum in the world'.
Epic Ireland aims to tell the story of the 10 million departures from Ireland and to celebrate the achievements of 70 million people internationally who trace their roots back there. Elbow was selected by designers Event Communications, to deliver the bulk of the high-impact visuals. These included carefully researched and scripted dramatic representations of key figures and a 3D motion graphic covering an entire wall depicting 2,000 years if Irish migration.
