The British Museum | Edvard Munch: Love and Angst
Elbow were selected to produce three films for this major exhibition on the life and works of Edvard Munch, one of the most innovative artists of the early 20th century. Our films explore Munch's life as a 'restless traveller' across Europe, blending evocative historical imagery, stirring sound design, and the powerful narration of Munch's own words. With our subtle use of motion graphics, we take visitors on a 'train journey' through pre-war Kristiania, Berlin and Paris. We delve deep into Munch's passions, turmoils, and feelings of isolation, all of which moulded him as a person and, ultimately, as an artist.
